Lifetime Warranty Policy
Effective Date: May 14, 2026 · Last Updated: May 14, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope of Coverage
This Lifetime Warranty Policy (the “Policy”) governs the limited lifetime warranty (“Warranty”) offered by Noctis Tint (“we,” “us,” or “our”) on automotive window tint film purchased from noctistint.com (the “Site”) and protected by the optional Lifetime Warranty Protection add-on product purchased on the same order as the underlying tint film. By purchasing the Lifetime Warranty Protection add-on, the original purchaser (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to all terms and conditions set forth herein.
This Warranty is offered in addition to, and not in lieu of, any rights the Customer may have under applicable consumer protection law. Where any provision of this Policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction, the mandatory law shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
2. Definitions
- Covered Product means the specific roll, kit, or installed window tint film identified by SKU on the same order as the Lifetime Warranty Protection add-on.
- Original Purchaser means the individual or entity whose name appears on the original order confirmation issued by Noctis Tint.
- Lifetime means the period during which the Original Purchaser owns the vehicle to which the Covered Product is applied. Coverage terminates upon transfer of vehicle ownership for any reason, including but not limited to private sale, trade-in, gift, inheritance, lease return, or insurance total loss.
- Manufacturer Defect means a flaw in materials or workmanship of the Covered Product itself, present at the time of manufacture, and not caused by installation, environmental exposure, third-party action, or normal wear and tear.
3. What Is Covered
This Warranty covers the following Manufacturer Defects when they appear in the Covered Product during the Lifetime period:
- Adhesive failure resulting in bubbling, blistering, or lifting away from the glass surface
- Delamination of the film’s structural layers
- Cracking, splitting, or fracturing of the film not attributable to glass damage
- Excessive color shift, fading, or purple discoloration beyond industry-standard tolerances
- Demetallization of metallic or hybrid films
- Loss of optical clarity or formation of haze across the film surface
- Scratch-resistant coating failure under normal use conditions
4. What Is Not Covered
This Warranty does not cover, and Noctis Tint shall have no obligation with respect to, any of the following:
- Damage caused by improper installation by any person other than a Noctis Tint authorized installer, including DIY installation
- Scratches, abrasions, or punctures caused by abrasive cleaners, sharp objects, ice scrapers, or stuck-on debris
- Damage from chemical exposure, including but not limited to ammonia-based cleaners, solvents, gasoline, or aftermarket window treatments
- Damage from accidents, collisions, vandalism, theft attempts, or acts of God (hail, fire, flood, tornado, earthquake, etc.)
- Damage caused by glass breakage, chip repair, windshield replacement, or any work performed on the underlying glass
- Damage resulting from aftermarket modifications, including window regulator replacement, defroster repair, or glass tint removal by a third party
- Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the function or structural integrity of the film
- Damage caused by failure to follow the post-installation care instructions provided at time of purchase
- Pre-existing defects in the vehicle’s glass, including but not limited to chips, cracks, pitting, or factory tint underneath the Covered Product
- Any film that has been removed, reinstalled, or altered after the original installation
- Loss of use, rental car expenses, lost wages, or any incidental or consequential damages of any kind
5. Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to file a claim under this Warranty, the Customer must satisfy all of the following conditions:
- The Customer must be the Original Purchaser as defined in Section 2.
- The Lifetime Warranty Protection add-on product must have been purchased on the same Noctis Tint order as the Covered Product.
- The Covered Product must still be installed on the vehicle for which it was originally purchased and installed.
- The Original Purchaser must still own the vehicle to which the Covered Product is applied.
- The Customer must be able to produce the original receipt of purchase from Noctis Tint.
- The Customer must be able to produce clear, dated photographs of the alleged defect taken from multiple angles.
- The claim must be submitted through the Warranty Claim Portal at /pages/warranty-claim-portal.
6. Non-Transferability
This Warranty is strictly non-transferable. Coverage applies solely to the Original Purchaser of the Covered Product. The Warranty does not transfer:
- To any subsequent owner of the vehicle, regardless of whether the sale or transfer is between family members, friends, or unrelated third parties;
- If the vehicle is traded in, sold privately, gifted, inherited, returned at the end of a lease, totaled by an insurer, or otherwise disposed of;
- To any other vehicle, even if the Original Purchaser owns multiple vehicles;
- To any reinstalled or relocated film, even if the relocation is performed by the original installer.
Any attempt to transfer this Warranty, whether by sale, assignment, or operation of law, shall void the Warranty in its entirety, and Noctis Tint shall have no obligation to honor any subsequent claim.
7. Required Documentation for All Claims
Every claim submitted under this Warranty must include the following documentation. Claims missing any of these items will be returned to the Customer for completion and will not be processed until all required documentation is received.
7.1 Original Receipt of Purchase
The Customer must submit a legible copy of the original Noctis Tint order confirmation or receipt showing the Customer’s name, the order number, the order date, the Covered Product purchased, and the Lifetime Warranty Protection add-on. Bank statements, screenshots of credit card transactions, or third-party confirmations are not acceptable substitutes.
7.2 Photographic Evidence
The Customer must submit clear, in-focus, properly lit photographs of the alleged defect, including:
- At least one wide-angle photograph showing the entire affected window from outside the vehicle;
- At least one wide-angle photograph showing the entire affected window from inside the vehicle;
- At least one close-up photograph (within 12 inches) of the specific defect area;
- One photograph of the vehicle’s VIN plate or registration document confirming the vehicle’s identity;
- Date stamps or accompanying timestamps for all submitted photographs.
7.3 Vehicle and Installation Information
The Customer must provide the vehicle year, make, model, VIN, original installation date, name of the installer (if applicable), and a written description of the alleged defect, including when it was first noticed and how it has progressed.
8. Claim Submission Process
- Initial Submission. The Customer submits the claim through the Warranty Claim Portal, including all documentation required by Section 7.
- Acknowledgment. Within five (5) business days of submission, Noctis Tint will issue an email acknowledgment confirming receipt of the claim and assigning a claim reference number.
- Initial Review. Within fifteen (15) business days of acknowledgment, Noctis Tint will conduct an initial review and either (a) approve the claim, (b) deny the claim with a written explanation, or (c) request additional information from the Customer.
- Inspection. Noctis Tint reserves the right to require the Customer to bring the vehicle to a Noctis Tint approved inspection location at the Customer’s expense for physical inspection of the Covered Product before approving any claim.
- Resolution. If the claim is approved, Noctis Tint will, in its sole discretion, provide the remedy described in Section 9 within thirty (30) business days of approval, subject to film and installer availability.
9. Remedies
If a claim is approved, Noctis Tint’s sole and exclusive obligation, and the Customer’s sole and exclusive remedy, shall be one of the following, selected at Noctis Tint’s sole discretion:
- Replacement of the defective film with a comparable Noctis Tint film of equal or greater value, with installation labor included if performed at a Noctis Tint authorized installer location;
- Refund of the original purchase price of the affected portion of the Covered Product, prorated based on the time elapsed since installation if so determined by Noctis Tint;
- Store credit equal to the original purchase price of the affected portion of the Covered Product.
Removal of the defective film, prep of the glass, and installation of replacement film must be performed by a Noctis Tint authorized installer to remain within the scope of any approved remedy. Customer-arranged installation, even by a licensed third-party installer, voids the remedy and any further claims related to the affected window.
10. Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Noctis Tint’s total cumulative liability under this Warranty, in contract, tort, or any other legal theory, shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the Customer for the Covered Product and the Lifetime Warranty Protection add-on. In no event shall Noctis Tint be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use of the vehicle, rental car expenses, lost wages, lost profits, diminution in vehicle value, or damage to the underlying glass or vehicle interior.
11. Disclaimers
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THIS POLICY, NOCTIS TINT MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE WARRANTY DESCRIBED HEREIN IS THE CUSTOMER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THE COVERED PRODUCT.
12. Fraudulent Claims
Submission of a fraudulent claim, including but not limited to falsified receipts, doctored photographs, claims for damage caused by Customer or third-party action, or claims by anyone other than the Original Purchaser, will result in immediate denial of the claim, voiding of the Warranty in its entirety, and may result in legal action. Noctis Tint reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including referral to law enforcement, in cases of suspected warranty fraud.
13. Modification of Policy
Noctis Tint reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Modifications will not retroactively reduce coverage for Lifetime Warranty Protection add-ons purchased prior to the effective date of the modification. The Policy in effect at the time of the original purchase shall govern any claim related to that purchase.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado, and the Customer consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
